Forested Hills

A short ways to the north of the colony the land dries up and turns into a pine forest. Game can be found here, but it seems like the larger species have suffered nearly as much as the humans so deer and other large game are a rare find. Instead this area is more often used as a place to find firewood and set traps for smaller game like rabbits. A few people swear that they've heard the distant calls of wolves in this forest, but that's ridiculous; even historically there weren't any wolves around here.
